The Crowne Plaza Hotel is located on the Malecon of Santo Domingo with direct view of the Caribbean Sea, at the foot of George Washington Avenue, one of the most important and main tourist destinations in Santo Domingo.
The Crowne plaza is a hotel with more than 30 years of history and in Room1804 we were in charge of the interior design project to renovate the common areas and its 196 rooms. We sought to give a more timeless and fresh image, integrating part of the existing wall and floor coverings, mixing them with more contemporary materials and colours.
The refurbishment covers different common areas: Lobby, Bar lounge, cafeteria, Foyer. Where the main intervention was to emphasize the uses of each area and to be able to make the most of each space by making a general reconfiguration of the furniture seeking to integrate it in a flexible way, generating lounge areas for rest and spaces more focused on work with high tables with connectivity included.
For the rooms we have the same starting point. We recovered images of the city, seeking harmony with light tones and warm materials that, together with blue, give us a fresh, timeless and comfortable image, thus renewing the rooms to update the overall image of the project.
